All Things Bright and Beautiful

I went into my local Lush store today and they're selling all their Christmas goodies at 50% off the full price so I grabbed a few things. Some of the other products are from the regular Lush range that you can purchase everyday of the year. Enjoy!

Butterball Bath Bomb
Lil Lush Pud Bath Bomb

Superstar Bubble Bar

Whoosh Shower Jelly

Snow globe Soap

Fresh Farmacy Cleanser

Karma Bubble Bar

I absolutely adore Lush and i couldn't resist when they brought out their Christmas range this year. You can check online here to find out about availability and prices.

First off are the bath bombs which let me tell you smell AMAZING! They have a very warm comforting scent. I have tried the Lil Lush Pud before and although i loved the smell it made the bath water look browny and dirty which isn't very cool.

Next is the Superstar bubble bar which my son Tom picked up for me bless him! This bubble bar has frangranced the whole house today and it just looks so pretty and festive.

I got the Snow Glob soap and the Whoosh shower jelly as a gift set and it;s the perfect thing if you need a little something to wake you up or cure a hangover. The scent of these products is incredible, so zingy! i think you can still purchase Whoosh throughout the year so go have a look online or in your local shop. I have to say when i opened the shower jelly I was a bit unsure of what to do with it! It's like actual jelly and it's so WEIRD. I do like it though and i just rubbed some into a poofy until it foamed up.

Next up is the beautiful Fresh Farmacy cleanser which is like a chamomile lotion but in bar form and also contains lavender, rose and tea tree oils. This is amazing and it's perfect for skin prone to acne and excessive oil helping to calm and moisturise the skin whilst gently cleaning.

Karma. Orangy, bubbly heaven! This is also a product that's available all year round and so it should be! This smells so fresh and clean and definitely stands out from the rest.

Sorry I haven't got any prices but do check their website as some prices depend on how much of the item you want and don't forget to grab a bargain whilst the Christmas products are 50% off whilst stocks last!

Foundation for acne prone skin? I found it!

Revlon ColorStay™ Makeup for Combination/Oily Skin.
This is my holy grail foundation and I'm not just saying that!
Since purchasing this in Boots here it's changed the way my skin looks.
This foundation is a heavy, thick, matt coverage but it's also buildable so you find you won't even need to use concealer. This foundation comes in lots of shades and also has a SPF of 6 but you can't rely on that so be sure to use a sun screen. I would also recommend using a moisturiser suited to your skin type prior to using Revlon ColorStay, regardless of how oily your skin usually gets throughout the day.
As for the smell, it's not particularly pleasant but it doesn't bother me to be honest. It kind of smells like paint to be fair and it can be difficult to remove at the end of the day as it stays put for up to 16 hours. I find using a little extra virgin olive oil massaged into the face helps to absorb and lift the makeup from the face then gently wiped away with a warm, wet cloth.
The price is one of the more expensive foundations (priced at £12.49) i have ever bought but it's also the BEST so it was worth every penny. So if your someone who suffers from acne and want something to cover it up and have tried everything, then try this!

e.l.f Brushes - First Look

Hi, everyone!
I received my e.l.f package this morning (yay) after ordering on Sunday night so i'm impressed it's only taken a few days to get my package.
The brushes i bought were the ,crease, eyeshadow, blending, concealer and the stipple brush. Buy here. They were sooo cheap that i had tpo but them. At around £1.50 a brush, you can't go wrong can you?

I only have one small problem. When opened the packet to my horror, the crease brush snapped in my hand!! I've emailed e.l.f to see if they can send me a replacement. Luckily it wasn't one of the brushes i've been desparate to try so i'm kinda happy to wait patiently for a new one.

In the meantime i will be trying out the other brushes and i'll update when i've had a good go of them. I'm beginning to think i should have maybe spent my money on some of the Sigma brushes but we'll see.

Has anyone tried the elf or the sigma brushes? What do you think of them?

MUA Palette - Heaven & Earth

Well, after seeing sooo many fantastic reviews on Youtube about this palette, i had to have it! I looked in my local Superdrug but they didn't seem to stock the palettes, only lipsticks and mono eyeshadows etc, so i got it online as the p&p is free on all orders. I will be doing a review on this palette when it arrives and i'll let you know what i think of it as this palette has been compared to the Naked palette from Urban Decay so i'm so excited to see for myself!

Have you tried the MUA Heaven & Earth palette?

Update on skin and O.P.I nail polish

Hi, all! So i've been slacking a little bit with the Freederm gel i've been using, i've missed days here and there but i still think it's a good product. I'm still using the Garnier Pure Active moisturiser which is just fantastic, my face is prone to being quite dry and this moisturiser keeps my skin feeling hydrated until i next use it. So i have to say i'm still having the odd breakout but it's happening less which i'm happy about and i'm also thinking about buiyng some of the other products in the Garier Pure Active range to see if that helps further. I've read some reviews on Boots website and they're pretty good ratings so keep an eye out for a post about that.

O.P.I - I bought a mini bottle of the teal polish from eBay for £3.50. I was so excited to try it as i'd heard good things about this polish but to my horror it started to chip within 1 day of wearing it! I'm very disappointed because it brushed on beautifully but kinda took a little longer to dry than expected. I'll be trying some other budget polishes to see how they work, i'm interested in GOSH and Rimmel. Keep an eye out for posts in the near future!

Which nail polishes do you rave about?

Progress on my skin

This is with makeup on so i'll try and put one up where no makeup is on (eek!)

You can see the redness and the actual blemishes. I think some of the redness could be caused by scarring as a result of having acne for what feels like forever!
If anyone knows of any wonder products, please comment!

Summer clothes

Now it's summer i'm loving going shopping for new clothes and Primark is currently my number 1 shop, everthing is great value and great quality. I can't honestly fault it. I've been looking on eBay for some bargains too. Pieces i like right now are gypsy style maxi skirts and simple vest tops in bright colours.

Acne, arghhh!

Sooo, i've tried near enough everything to get perfect, clear skin but i've never really given any product a real chance to work. I usually try something for like a week and then stop using it. Well, not anymore! I bought some Freederm gel (10ml) from Superdrug, it was on offer for about £3 something and i've been using it religously for about a week now and i have to say it's pretty good! My skin looks less red and angry afer using it but new spots are still appearing (grrr). I'll put some pictures up soon so you can see the progress i make with that.
